The Student Workshop of the Lorestan University Waterfall Studies Center, focusing on scientific familiarization with Lorestan's waterfalls, especially Bisheh Waterfall, was held in Bisheh village.
According to the Public Relations of Lorestan University, this educational and discussion-based workshop was held on Thursday, April 18th of this year in Bisheh village.
Bisheh village, which has a waterfall and a train station, is located 60 kilometers from Khorramabad city in the Papi region.
This workshop was held in collaboration with the Lorestan Studies Center of Lorestan University, the Waterfall Studies Center of Lorestan University, the Department of Cultural and Social Support of Lorestan University (affiliated with the Vice-Chancellor for Cultural and Social Affairs of this university), the Cultural Vice-Chancellor of Lorestan Jihad University, the General Department of Geology of Lorestan Province, and the Student Basij of Lorestan University.
In the mentioned workshop, a number of faculty members of Lorestan University elaborated on the capabilities and capacities of Lorestan province in relation to waterfalls.
Lorestan province is the land of historical bridges and waterfalls.
Therefore, the Waterfall Studies Center of Lorestan University has strived to introduce the province's capacities related to waterfalls with scientific, academic, research, and tourism approaches, and with a national and international perspective.
In addition to the mentioned workshop, participating students visited various parts of Bisheh village and the waterfall of this village.
Dr. Ali Haghighizadeh, Associate Professor of Water Resources Engineering and Head of the Faculty of Natural Resources of Lorestan University, Dr. Ramin Sarikhani, Associate Professor of Geology, Dr. Mehdi Soleimani-Motlagh, Assistant Professor of Water Engineering and Watershed Management, Dr. Amir Mirzaei-Musivand, Assistant Professor of Rangeland Sciences, Dr. Morteza Ghobadi, Assistant Professor of Environmental Engineering, Dr. Mehdi Rahimian, Associate Professor of Rural Development, Dr. Siamak Sharafi, Associate Professor of Geomorphology, and Dr. Zahra Kamali, Geologist, participated in the organization of this scientific program by teaching topics to the students.
In the mentioned scientific program, Hojjatoleslam and Muslims Abdollah Fazeli, Vice-Chancellor of the Leadership Institution of Lorestan University, Dr. Ali Nouri, Head of the Waterfall Studies Center of Lorestan University, Hassan Salehi-Rad, Director of Cultural and Social Support of Lorestan University, Dr. Mehdi Omid, his deputy, Mehdi Sepehvand, Executive Director of the Leadership Institution of Lorestan University, and Morad Rahimi, Head of the Islamic Student Organizations Department of Lorestan University, were also present and accompanied the students.
