Lorestan University to Host National "Zarrin Criticism" Event

On the eighth of Esfand of this year, the prestigious event of the closing ceremony of the third biennial National Zarreen Criticism Award, in memory of one of Iran's prominent literary figures, historians, and literary critics, the late Professor Dr. Abdolhossein Zarrinkoub, will be held at Lorestan University.

According to the Public Relations of Lorestan University, the late Professor Dr. Abdolhossein Zarrinkoub was born in Borujerd in 1301 and passed away in 1378 after a lifetime of scholarly endeavors.

In recognition of Professor Zarrinkoub's valuable contributions, a prestigious national award was established, which is a biennial event: "Zarreen Criticism."

This year, the Iranian Scientific Association of Literary Criticism and the Institute for the Book and Literature of Iran are the organizers, and Tarbiat Modares University, Lorestan University, Imam Khomeini International University (RA) of Qazvin, the Lorestan Studies Center, and the Research Center for Persian Language and Literature of Tarbiat Modares University are supporters of this award.

The Iranian Scientific Association of Literary Criticism announced the names of the authors and articles nominated for the third biennial National Zarreen Criticism Award, the closing ceremony of which will be hosted by Lorestan University, in alphabetical order:

1- Milad Jafarpour, for the article "From the Fictional Orphan to the Historical Qurchi (Re-identification of the identity of Hossein Kord Shabestari based on historical and literary sources)."

2- Razieh Hojatzadeh, for the article "Methodology of Systematic Formalism, a Pioneering Method in the History of Modern Literature."

3- Mahmoud Fotouhi Rudmaajani, for the article "Epistemological Classification of Mystical Propositions."

4- Mostafa Gorji, for the article "Kohl of Thought: Examining the Image of 'Life as the Illusion of Free Will' in the views of Rumi and Spinoza."

5- Alireza Mohammadi Kalehsar, for the articles "Formal Analysis of the Language of Mysticism; Types, Criticisms, Suggestions" and "The Poverty of Theoretical Foundations in the Trends of Persian Language and Literature."

From among the aforementioned 6 articles with five authors, three researchers will receive the first to third prizes, including a statue, a certificate of appreciation, and a cash prize at the closing ceremony.

It is worth mentioning that in the first step, 17 professors from universities across Iran reviewed 49 literary journals and nearly three thousand articles published in the years 1401-1402, along with 40 articles submitted to the conference secretariat, and ultimately deemed 29 articles worthy of evaluation in the second stage.

In the second stage, Alireza Nikouei, Isa Amnkhani, and Rahman Moshtaghmehr judged the articles based on the criteria announced by the Iranian Scientific Association of Literary Criticism and selected 6 articles (five authors) for the third stage.

At the closing ceremony hosted by Lorestan University, three articles from the six articles that have reached the final stage will be introduced, and the authors will receive the National Zarreen Criticism Award.
