A scientific seminar on water cascade studies, focusing on Bisheh Waterfall, was held at the Faculty of Natural Resources, University of Lorestan.

Specialized, Scientific Seminar on Waterfall Studies (Examining the Potentials and Natural Attractions of Lorestan Waterfalls with a Focus on Bisheh Waterfall) was held at the Faculty of Natural Resources, University of Lorestan.
According to the Public Relations of the University of Lorestan, Dr. Ali Haghighizadeh, Dean of the Faculty of Natural Resources, University of Lorestan, told our reporter: "In order to strengthen and promote the activities of the Waterfall Studies Center of the University of Lorestan in the new year, the waterfall studies seminar with the formation of a specialized panel and focusing on Bisheh Waterfall, was held on Saturday, April 13, 2024, with the presence of faculty members, students, staff, and special guests in this faculty."
Dr. Haghighizadeh explained: "At the beginning of the seminar, the Dean of the Faculty of Natural Resources considered Lorestan as a paradise for tourism and drew the attention of provincial managers to the neglected capacity of tourism based on water resources; hydrotourism is one of the cogs of sustainable development in Lorestan."
He stated: "Lorestan province, with 33 permanent rivers and permanent and seasonal wetlands, and 50 large and medium-sized waterfalls, especially the seven waterfalls, lakes, and springs, can become a hydrotourism pilot alongside geotourism; creating suitable infrastructure for diverse tourism (sports tourism, cultural tourism, adventure tourism (exciting)) in Bisheh village, due to the existence of a railway station and access road, can bring economic prosperity and job creation."
Haghighizadeh explained: "In this seminar, in the specialized field, the topic was examined and analyzed; Dr. Ghobadi, a faculty member of the Department of Environment of the University of Lorestan, the system of environmental planning and design issues, Dr. Rahimian, a faculty member of the Department of Economics and Rural Development of this university, the system of social issues and the participation of local communities, and Dr. Kamali, Head of the Department of Geological Studies, the system of geological issues facing the development and protection of the Bisheh Waterfall ecosystem, were explained."
At the end of the seminar, questions and answers were conducted by those present at the meeting.
